Fennel (Foeniculum vulgare)

Sweet fennel can be grown either an annual or perennial herb, and provides delicate feathery foliage and pretty yellow flowers in the summer. All parts of the plant can be used, and have a distinct aniseed scent and taste. Great to use in salads, cooked with fish or as an alternative to Florence fennel. Steep the leaves, flowers or seeds in hot water for a calming herb tea that aides digestion. 6ft (2m)
